Adwick 04.10.12

Very quiet at Adwick.
Only birds of note was a green sandpiper on the excavated pool and at least 8 little grebes on the central pool. Lots of canada and greylags on corn fields next to the river.

Had a walk down to North Ings as well. This place is looking fab! Looking into the sun but could see a few teal and wigeon flying about.

Had a look in the book at Old Moor - nothing much in there. There seems to be a lack of wader passage at the moment. To say that it's only the beginning of October there isn't many wading birds being recorded on Birdguides. I wonder if the bulk of waders have gone through earlier this year e.g. starting in early July. Does this have any implications for Wath Ings during July next year?
