BTCV were here all day to do some scrub bashing and so Keith and I felt obliged to do our bit too.

The dike breached again after heavy rain last night so most of the duck had legged it to feed on flashes nearer to Bleachcroft Farm. Chiffchaff, Kingfisher and Grey Wagtail were in evidence.

10 Commas were feeding on Buddlejas & 7 Migrant Hawkers  were abroad.

Painted Lady has been very scarce this year, but a very late one was feeding near Cudworth Bridges on Valerian this afternoon. (Chris Parkin)
