BLACK-THROATED THRUSH AT ADWICK

This stunning Black-throated Thrush was found early this morning at Adwick-on-Dearne RSPB Reserve by Adam Hutt and RSPB Warden Heather Bennett who were doing a monthly WeBS wildfowl count at the time. The top and lower photo's were taken by Adam at the time he first discovered the bird in the short grass field. The middle flight shot is by Jeff Wragg, taken later in the morning as the bird became more elusive.
It showed on and off for much of the rainy morning before disappearing for a couple of hours early afternoon, then reappearing in the same area mid afternoon.
A cracking find and the first ever record in the Barnsley recording area.
No doubt better photo's will surface later but these were the first taken.
