Wintersett + Gull Roosts 21.01.17

2- 6 degrees with 8/8 cloud and a very light south easterly.
Anglers CP: 83 Pink-footed Geese flew west at 09.05hrs.  A Jack Snipe and 2 Snipe were in the golf course field.  26 Redwings were in the back field.  Lapwing 80.
Cold Hiendley Field: Just 70 Skylarks were seen today with  hardly any corvids and Feral Pigeons remaining.  Shooters  and crop spraying are the cause of the massive decline in numbers.
Wintersett Res: Cetti's Warbler 2 singing males - boathouse reeds and west bank.  Golden Plover 1 over.
Both Gull Roosts were watched today.  There were plenty of big gulls on Anglers CP.  Just one notable,  the usual adult Caspian Gull,  in at 16.30hrs.  Wintersett Res. roost was a total disaster with hardly any large gulls until after dark,  when (typically) loads  piled in!
