Wintersett + Gull Roosts 22.01.17

-1 to 4 degrees, dull  with 7/8 cloud and a light south westerly.
Anglers CP:  A Barn Owl was seen at dawn.  A Golden Plover flew over. A Water Rail  was in the south west corner.   Siskin 4.
Golf Course Field:  Snipe 3 and  Jack Snipe  4
Wintersett Res: A male Cetti's Warbler was singing  in the  boathouse reeds.   A Little Egret flew over south.     Wigeon 45.
Cold Hiendley Field:  Skylark 320. 
Birds ringed today: Redwing 7,  Goldfinch 1,  Great Tit 1 and  Blue Tit 1. 
Both Gull Roosts were observed this afternoon:  The adult Iceland Gull was in from  14.40hrs to dusk.  An adult Yellow-legged Gull was the only other notable picked up.
Totals:   Great Black-backed Gull       80              60  ACP  +   20  WRes.
               Herring Gull                       1920          1020 ACP  +  900 WRes. 
               Lesser Black-backed Gull        8                5 ACP  +      3 WRes.
