Lundwood Sewage Works Area

A few hours around the works this morning. Of note - on the filter beds were c.300 Black-headed Gulls (inc an adult with a white plastic ring which was just out of reading range) 2 Common Gulls, single Herring Gull, 20 Stock Doves, at least 20 Pied Wags, 3 Grey Wags, c.80 Jackdaw, and 35 Mallard. On the flood plain was a Green Sandpiper, 3 Common Snipe, 35 Teal, 4 Gadwall, single Heron and a single Meadow Pipit. Also on site were 2 Song Thrush, 5 Red-legged Partridge and a Chiffchaff by the entrance gate. Seven Great Black-backed Gulls went over.
Cheers
Russ
