Wintersett 15.01.17

5 - 8 degrees,  8/8  grey cloud,  drizzle and a cool north westerly.
Wintersett Res:  80 Yellowhammers  were in the SW field.  Goosander 10.   Wigeon 14.  2 singing, male Cetti's Warblers -  boathouse reeds and west bank.
Gull Roosts were frustrating again this afternoon.  Poor numbers of birds came in early.  Notables were all at WRes.   A  1st W Iceland Gull flew SW over with 2 Herring Gulls at 15.10hrs.  Large numbers of birds  started arriving , from the south east,  at dark.  A 3rd W Iceland Gull was picked up at 16.45 hrs!  The usual adult Yellow-legged Gull was in.
