These are a few of the highlights from todays counts (which were quickly abandoned mid morning when the thrush was discovered and completed later in the day).
Houghton Washland was pretty much devoid of wildfowl due to the intensive shooting taking place a couple of few fields away. Fortunately most birds hopped over to Edderthorpe;-
Shelduck 1, Mallard 210, Teal 390, Pintail 2 drakes, wigeon 256, Gadwall 54, Shoveler 79, Cormorant 7, Lapwing 209.
