Wintersett, Saturday

A very good day (morning really) on Anglers CP. A Black Tern was present early morning and was still hawking over the lake late afternoon. A Sandwich Tern made a brief visit at 10.00 before carrying on northwards and a Common Tern was on the Top Res. A Greenshank was present on the shallows until 10.00. The usual female Goldeneye, a Pochard, a Teal and a pair of Shoveler were also present along with the Oystercatcher families. At least 9 Common Buzzards were seen and a Yellow Wagtail is feeding young in a nearby field
