The Edge 10/02/2017

Wombwell Ings - Present were 31 Canada Geese, 2 Shelduck, 160+ Wigeon, 21 Gadwall, 12 Shoveler, 11 Teal, 8 Mallard, 3 Tufted Duck, 1 Pochard, 1 Little Egret, 12 Coot, 10 Moorhen, 211 Golden Plover, 61 Lapwing, 131 BH Gull, 3 Common Gull, 3 Skylark, 2 Mistle Thrush, 15 Linnet, 1 Yellowhammer and 3 Reed Bunting. A Peregrine was over at 10.50am.
Broomhill Flash - Highlight was a male Common Scoter. Also noted were 2 Mute Swan, 76 Canada Geese, 65 Shoveler, 54 Wigeon, 25 Teal, 16 Pochard, 12 Gadwall, 10 Tufted Duck, 4 Mallard, 3 Cormorant, 44 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 48 Lapwing,  78 BH Gull and 11 Common Gull.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 2 Mute Swan, 1 Greylag, 15 Gadwall, 6 Shoveler, 6 Tufted Duck, 5 Mallard, 3 Pochard, 2 Goldeneye, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Cormorant, 214 Coot and 3 BH Gull. Also present were 49 Canada Geese, 1 Song Thrush and 2 Willow Tit.
