Carlton Marsh

The contractor arrived with a crane at 13.25hrs and soon began to swing the new hide across the dike, which needed a great deal of skill. After repositioning the lorry for the jib to reach the plinths, the hide was gently lowered on to them at 14.40hrs. Our thanks to David Hughes from BMBC and the lads from JSW of Wakefield for overseeing the job to completion. Not forgetting our local Councillor Charles C. Wraith for all the support he has given us.

The hide wont be accessible to the public just yet though, so please be patient for a while until the groundwork and screens are in place adjacent to it.

4 Buzzards were in the air this morning and a Little Egret has roosted in a large Willow for the past 2 nights (D. Standish/K. Pickard).
