Carlton Marsh

The first of this year's juvenile Black Headed Gulls was on the scrape with a Cormorant (J. Finch).

A Cuckoo sang over Storrs Mill Wood (not previously heard this year here. A Vincent)

Woolley
Marbled white are doig well here with 93 counted today. Small Blue 28 could be in trouble as there is little or no Kidney Vetch for the eggs and larvae. 195 Meadow Brown 122 Ringlet a Banded Demoiselle and a Blackneck moth were just some of the insects found in this excellent wildscape (C. Parkin).
