Edderthorpe and Houghton

As reported yesterday afternoon the river has again breached its banks and completly filled up the Flash with water for the third time this year. There is now a lake where 2 days ago there was some nice mud becoming exposed. This evening the river level has fallen and water is no longer coming over the floodbank. Only birds of note;- Wigeon 33.
Houghton Washlands has again flooded but due to rain and drain water, there appears to be no sign that the river emptied into here. But lots of birds on here, all the Lapwings and many of the ducks and geese are now on here.
