Wombwell Ings - Present were 2 Mute Swan, 22 Canada Geese, 9 Greylag, 4 Shelduck, 16 Tufted Duck, 15 Mallard, 9 Wigeon, 7 Gadwall, 4 Shoveler, 3 Teal, 2 Pochard, 1f Goosander, 1 Great crested Grebe, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 6 Coot, 1 Moorhen, 2 Buzzard, 1 Sparrowhawk, 5 Lapwing, 3 Redshank, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 6+ Skylark, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Mistle Thrush, 1 Chiffchaff and 1 Willow Warbler.
Warbler Way - Singing males were 5 Willow Warbler and 10 Chiffchaff. Also noted were 2 Grey Partridge, 3 Buzzard, 2 Grey Wagtail, 1 Jay and 1 Bullfinch.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 3 Mute Swan, 20 Tufted Duck, 12 Pochard, 10 Mallard, 8 Gadwall, 2 Shoveler, 1m+1f Goldeneye, 4 Little Grebe, 3 Great Crested Grebe, 56 Coot, 1 Moorhen, 354 BH Gull, 5 LBB Gull and 1 Common Gull. Also present 17 Canada Geese, 8 Greylag, 1 Cormorant, 1 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Kingfisher, 1 Green Woodpecker, 2 Swallow, 2 House Martin( my first of the year ) and 1 Willow Tit.
