Low Moor corner, 4/8/16, D Simmonite,S Green.
11-30am to 4-30pm. Rather rainy at first with hazy light but the weather improving as it went on. Pretty much a repeat of recent sightings but birds always good to see with a Hobby going past quite close at midhope res. Brief views of the Marsh Harrier were had when it broke the skyline over midhope moors. Also 8 Buzzards, 6 Kestrels, 3 Ravens, 3 LBB Gulls, a flock of about 40 Lapwing above fields near the Manchester road. Good numbers of House Martins blogging about, thought to be in 3 figures, Curlews thin now with 3 heard and seen. Heard only were Crossbill 1 and 3 Siskin.
