Wombwell Ings - As I walked onto the ings I noticed a Marsh Harrier quartering over the backfield, gradually moving onto Broomhill Flash where it was joined by a second cream crown( Seen by PUK ). Also present were 2 Mute Swan, 59 Canada Geese, 5 Greylag, 38 Gadwall, 31 Mallard, 26 Teal, 1 Wigeon, 1 Cormorant, 12 Little Egret, 3 Grey Heron, 33 Lapwing, 1 Ringed Plover, 39 BH Gull, 4 Yellow Wagtail, 7+ Pied Wagtail, 50+ Goldfinch and 2 Linnet.
Broomhill Flash - Noted were 2 Mute Swan, 46 Gadwall, 29 Mallard, 10+ Teal, 32 Tufted Duck, 6 Pochard, 7 Cormorant, 8 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 3 Red Legged Partridge, 26 Little Grebe, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 115 Coot, 18 Moorhen, 49 Lapwing, 6 Snipe, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Dunlin, 1 Ringed Plover, 1 Greenshank, 2 Marsh Harrier, 1 Sparrowhawk, 32 BH Gull and 2 LBB Gull.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 2+4y Mute Swan, 35 Greylag, 25 Canada Geese, 28 Tufted Duck, 16 Gadwall, 13 Pochard, 4 Mallard, 3 Shoveler, 8+ Little Grebe, 5 Great Crested Grebe, 66 Coot and 4 Moorhen. Also present were 1 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron, 9 Lapwing and 1 Green Woodpecker.
