Wintersett + 08.07.19

15 - 19 degrees, mainly cloudy with a few sunny spells and a light south easterly breeze.
Anglers CP:Little Ringed Plover 2 adults + 2 juveniles.  Oystercatcher 4.  Great Crested Grebe 6.  Mallard 2 small young.  Pochard 3 + 3 WRes.. A Green shank flew into shallows at 15.55hrs.
Wintersett Res: A Cetti's Warbler brood was calling on the east bank.  22 Sand Martin went south.  Kingfisher 1.   Goldeneye 3.  Tufted Duck 74 + 2 ACP + 2 very small young CHRes..  Willow Tit 1 south east corner.  Common Tern 6.
Lepidoptera  WRes: 2 Large Skippers,  2 Small Tortoiseshell . A Small Heath  and the 1st Gatekeeper of the year, was on the west bank.   3 Painted Lady,  6 Red Admiral,  1 Comma, 1 Small White,  1 Small Skipper,  2 Green-veined White and a male Brimstone were in the area  
Odonata: Emperor 4.  Brown Hawker 1.  Black-tailed Skimmer 2.
Flora:  Marsh Woundwort - growing on the Dam wall.
