Going south: Goosander 1 very high. Golden Plover 14. Skylark 42. Swallow 8. House Martin 8. alba Wagtail 30. Meadow Pipit 415. Linnet 9. Reed Bunting 4.
Going west: Snipe 4. Redwing 817.
Going north: Rock Pipit 1 at 08.33hrs
Wintersett Res: A Merlin flew over at 16.23hrs.
WRes: Boathouse Hedge: Chiffchaff 5 ( 3 + 2 Haw Park Lane). Brambling 1 dropped in. Goldcrest 4. An interesting Lesser Whitethroat, with an Eastern look to it in sunlight, was in at 08.00hrs. Late afternoon afternoon, the Lesser Whitethroat looked warmer brown than this morning, with nothing here to suggest anything other than curruca.
