Carlton Marsh

The 2 Whooper Swans are still on the wader scrape. 6 Swifts came in late morning with a hobby on their tail. Also of note Garden Warbler singing in the car park and 6 pairs of Tufted Duck (Les & Andrew Corrall).

This evening at 17.40hrs the Hepatic Cuckoo showed well while perched up (Karen Pickard).

Earlier Chris Parkin recorded these insects 15 Peacock, 2 Small Heath, 5 Dingy Skipper, 4 Holly Blue, 2 Small Copper, 28m Orange-tip, 13 Large White, 5 Small White, 7 Green V. White + 29 unidentified 'Whites'. Moths included 1 small Yellow Underwing, 1 Lesser Treble Bar and 3 Common Carpet. Also Blue-tailed, Common Damsel and Four Sport Chaser.
