The highlights this morning were 2 Pink Feet in a nearby wheat field, 2 Cetti's Warbler sang, a Great Spotted Woodpecker was 'drumming' in the car park, a pair of Kestrels were displaying near Bleachcroft Farm, Grey Wagtail and 2 Treecreepers near the wader scrape viewpoint (CG/DM Smith/Simon Cox).
This afternoon a Willow Warbler sang, our first this year.
Also of note a Stoat near the double seats. Insects included 5 Dark-edged Bee Fly, 1 male Orange-tip, 1male Brimstone, 13 Peacock and 13 Comma (Chris Parkin).

At nearby Brierley 14 Common Buzzards were in the air together drifting towards the reserve (Dave Standish).
