Carlton Marsh

New in today and singing 2 Lesser Whitethroats, Garden Warbler, and a Grasshopper Warbler. A Swift flew north and a Cuckoo sang along with 4 Whitethroats, 4 Reed Warblers and 3 Sedge Warblers (JP/R. Laverack/CG).

The resident pair of mute Swans gave a very long courtship display before mating, so fingers crossed they breed.

2 new broods of Canada geese (6 & 3) and a female Teal were on the wader scrape with a pair of Lapwings.
