Barnsley Council in their wisdom
have just released a planning document for public consultation called 'Local
Development Framework'.
In this document the area of
land south of the A635 road between Darfield and Goldthorpe (Billingley Ings /
Goldy Fields) have been earmarked for business development. These fields are
vital for the future of Old Moor - for example, over the last few weeks they have held 1 to 3 marsh harriers.Plus a field adjacent to Park Hill Nature Reserve has been earmarked for housing.
On a more positive note;
called at Old Moor this morning and Wath Ings looks brilliant.
For all you guys that don't get
there very often it is well worth a visit right now.
