Wintersett Vis Mig: Observers were stationed on on both sides of hill in anticipation of a Redwing movement this morning. 4000 Starlings flew up from their roost on Wintersett Res at 07.55 hrs, We moved to Anglers CP hide at 09.00. The hoped for Redwings started at 09.30, in a dry spell, but the movement didn't amount to much with only 90 Redwing, in small flocks, flying west for half an hour. That was it! Very disappointing.
Also: A Goosander flew west at 09.00hrs. 10 Golden Plover went north. 7 Snipe and 37 Wood Pigeon went south. 2 adult Yellow-legged Gulls were present.
