Wombwell Ings - Present were 2 Mute Swan, 6 Canada Geese, 87+ Teal, 31 Gadwall, 26 Wigeon, 11 Shoveler, 6 Mallard, 5 Pochard, 1 Tufted Duck, 2 Cormorant, 1 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 4 Little Grebe, 5 Moorhen, 37+ Lapwing, 4+ Snipe, 1 Ruff, 8 BH Gull, c100 hirundines(mainly Swallows and House Martins), 2 Grey Wagtail and c100 Goldfinch.
Broomhill Flash - Noted were 4a+5y Mute Swan, 31 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 41 Gadwall, 31 Teal, 11 Mallard, 8 Tufted Duck, 5 Wigeon, 4 Shoveler, 4 Cormorant, 2 Little Egret, 21 Little Grebe, 72 Coot, 8 Moorhen, 8 Lapwing, 8 Snipe and 1 LBB Gull.
Bolton Ings - Highlight was the kettle of 8 Buzzards that drifted east from the west end almost to directly in front of the hide and then drifted slowly back. A wonderful 10 minutes. On the open water were 2 Mute Swan, 35 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 18 Tufted Duck, 11 Gadwall, 7 Mallard, 5 Shoveler, 3 Pochard, 2 Teal, 18 Little Grebe, 3 Great Crested Grebe, 122 Coot, 4 Moorhen, 5 BH Gull and 1 LBB Gull. Also present were 4 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 73 Lapwing, 1 calling Green Woodpecker and 1 Grey Wagtail.
