Carlton Marsh

Approximately 300 Pink Feet Geese flew NW over Low Cudworth at 14.05hrs. (Richard Laverack)

A Bittern was seen at 15.44hrs alighting in the southern part of the marsh. (Ian & Karen Pickard) This is the first sighting of it since November 7th!

Chris Parkin sought out the usual known wintering sites for Herald Moth, there were 6 languishing near Ardsley Viaduct and a dead Barn Owl at Ardsley's disused railway tunnel.

Returning to Carlton Marsh
There were 18 Herald Moths under a nearby bridge and Buzzard, Cormorant and 17 Teal were present. (CP)
