Ewden lodge and return 28/8/17.

The wind much stronger today and blowing straight down the valley making birds more difficult to see. Still, new in were 3 Spotted Flycatchers together in the first plantation on the way up and a Yellow Wagtail flew up the valley here low, calling. I got the Osprey message here but failed to see anything. Too windy at the lodge and not much expected but 2 cc Marsh Harriers were together over white carr. Also 6 C Buzzards, 5 Kestrels, 4 Ravens, 30 Meadow Pipits, Curlew 1. On the way down a single Stonechat was just past the s bend and a Whinchat possibly yesterdays, was in bracken just up from the dried up stream near the first stone wall.
