Wintersett + Ring-necked Duck 17.11.19

5 - 8 degrees with 8/8 cloud, occasionl showers and a light northerly.
Pete Smith had a very nice surprise when carrying out the WeBS count. He found an adult drake Ring-necked Duck on CHRes. at 15.05hrs.  It showed well to a few people before it flew over to Wintersett Res. with 2 female Tufted Ducks at 15.30hrs. It was relocated in the SW corner, where it continued to show well until dusk.   This is the first record since 2010 when one was seen occasionally from January to March when it visited from Pugneys.
Pictures and video per Steve Denny.
