Carlton Marsh

Today's highlights included 4 Cetti's Warbler singing, 5 Cormorants (1 with BTO ring), 45 Jackdaws, Water Rail, single Redpoll, 5 Siskins, Treecreeper, 2 Goldcrests and 6 Shovelers. The Tawny Owl was still showing well in its usual roosting spot near the steps to the embankment.

This afternoon c250 Pink Feet headed west at 15.50hrs (JP/L. Corrall)

In the sunshine Small Copper, a late female Brimstone (beat the previous latest by 22 days) and 5 Common Darters (C. Parkin)

A Pipistrelle Bat was hunting at dusk (D. Standish).
