Old Moor - Xmas Eve

An early morning visit to Old Moor proved fruitful when a Bittern showed well on edge of reeds from Bittern Hide for half an hour (9.15 to 9.45) before walking back into reeds. Also seen were 5 Shelduck and 2 Redshank on main marsh and 3 Goosander and drake Goldeneye on mere.

There's no such thing as a Barnsley Blade. Its a delusion.
The litmus test is this: if you are frumt TARN and you go on holiday and are laid at the side of the swimming pool and someone asks you where you are from........do you say 'Bramall Lane' or do you say 'Barnsley?'

There's nowt up with real proper Sheffielders. But people are very proud to be from Barnsley and wouldn't want to be associated with coming from anywhere else.Frum TARN always frum TARN. And this is from someone that has strong family roots in Sheffield - family connections going back years and even mentioned in the book 'The Gangs of Sheffield.'
