Ringing recoveries

A Woodpigeon (ring no FC06382)  ringed as a first-year at Cudworth on 24th July 2011 was found dead at Taunton, Somerset om 3rd February 2013, a distance of 306kms SSW in 560days.
A Sedge Warbler (ring no X076077) ringed as a juvenile at Carlton Marsh on 6th August 2011 was controlled (caught and released) at Mars-Ouest, Saint-Philbert-de-Grand Lieu, Loire Atlantique, France on 12th August 2012, a distance of 728kms S in 372 days.

Definate improvement over the last couple of days Stu. Winscar area very dodgey but Barnside/Mortimer Road/Ewden Valley all OK

The Wood pigeon was only one of two I ringed in my garden in 2011. The Sedge Warbler was one of only 20 ringed in 2011. It was one of Dave Smith's so we got one each recovered.
