The Edge

A bitterly cold day when feeling the full force of the wind.
Broomhill Flash mid AM- On the open water were1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Little Grebe, 3 Cormorant, 2 Mute Swan,63+ Wigeon, 18 Tufted Duck,15 Mallard, 6+ Teal, 5 Pochard, 4 Gadwall,1m+1f Goldeneye, 200+ BH Gull, 12 Common Gull and a first winter LBB Gull. Also present were 45 Canada Geese, 2  Kestrel, 2 Curlew(flew east at 8.45am), 2 Red Legged Partridge and 1 Little Owl.

Bolton Ings late AM- On the open water were 1 Great Crested Grebe, 3 Little Grebe, 4 Mute Swan, 40 Gadwall, 11 Wigeon,10 Tufted Duck, 7 Mallard, 3 Pochard, 2m+1f Goldeneye, 2 Shelduck, 9 Common Gull, 2 LBB Gull and 1 Herring Gull. Also present were 1 Grey Heron, 20 Canada Geese, 2 Greylag, 23 Lapwing, 3 Oystercatcher, 1 Kestrel and 3 Mistle Thrush.
