Twelve Buzzards were in the sky at the same time this afternoon viewable from the Country Park enjoying the spring thermals. Oystercatcher 4 and Golden Plover 62.
Four Crossbills flew south over the Country Park including two 'red' males (they really ought to be breeding somewhere at this time of year). The Top Res gull roost was fairly disappointing and has probably broken up for the spring;- GBBGull 5, LBBGull 11, and Herring Gull 17. Finally a
Bittern was sat up roosting in its usual reedbed at dusk.
