Update

First seen by Chris Harris et al at around mid-day the moulting adult American Golden Plover returned to the mighty Wath and was still present this evening. At the risk of being called a 'right thanker' again, thanks to RSPB for keeping the reserve open until dusk, thus giving people extended chance of seeing it.

Photos below from Keith Pickering:

Other birds included: Black-tailed Godwit 32, Spot Red 3, Ruff c30, Dunlin c40, Curlew Sand.

Additional birds on Wombwell Ings this evening included Pintail, Grey Wag, Great S Woodpecker, Skylark 12, Linnet c50.

Also, a Red-necked Phalarope was seen flying around Anglers CP early afternoon (Pete Smith) but not subsequently.
