A lesson in consideration and fieldcraft.
This morning when Barnsley Blade put out on the CB radio that the Glossy Ibis had moved to the western end of Wombwell Ings, Jim Thompson was immediately in touch saying" I'm near the Gypsy Camp. Is it alright to come on from the west end because I don't want to disturb the bird and spoil peoples view?". Contrast this attitude with Saturday evening when 3 people were seen at 8.30pm stomping around in the middle of the flash trying to take photos. Oddly enough the Glossy Ibis decided not to pose!!!!!. A valuable lesson to us all on how to behave. Thanks Jim.
