Carlton Marsh

The best bits for today were Buzzard, Little Egret, Grey Wagtail, Water Rail 2, Treecreeper, Tawny Owl and Little Owl 2.
This must be the best site to see Kingfisher in South Yorkshire with 1, often 2, seen daily.  A juvenile this evening is the 7th caught here since May  (1 male + 6 juvs) 3 Willow Tits and a Yellowhammer were also caught.
Butterflies included 2 Common Blue and 10 Speckled Wood. 8 Copper Underwings were found on the toilet block walls.

Painted Lady 1, Red Admiral 6, Small Tortoiseshell 33, Brown Argus 1, Small Copper 7, Speckled Wood 202, Meadow Brown 9.  A Gold Spot moth was found on Devil's Bit Scabious.
