Carlton Marsh

The Pink Foot Goose is still here with a group of 20 Canada Geese. 3 Garden Warblers were singing this afternoon and a Little Ringed Plover was on the wader scrape this evening (Dave Standish).

Butterflies included 4 Small Heath and 5 Common Blue. A Mother Shipton moth was feeding on Trefoil.

Ziggy, in light of the Sand Martins trying to nest on Carrs Lane, it might be a good idea to make the developers of the housing estate aware, so as not to disturb them.
I have been seeing a few coming for a quick drink to the wader scrape and wondered where they were coming from. Now I know, thanks.

Okay thanks Ziggy. I will ask Pete Wall to go or ask him to get somebody from RSPB.
