Carlton Marsh

This morning Garden Warbler, Kingfisher, Buzzard, Cetti's Warbler and Pink Foot Goose.

Along the old rail embankment at least 20 Yellow-barred Long-horn (Nemophora degeerella) micro moths were dancing above the flowers in the sunshine.

We saw our first sightings of male Emperor dragonfly and male Banded Demoiselle for this year and Richard Laverack and I witnessed a Dog Fox predate a day old Moorhen chick right in front of us about 10 yards away.

My thanks to our amazing volunteers for the work they do to manage the habitat week in week out.

Thurlstone Edge
Wall Brown is thriving on the higher ground this is evident, 32 were seen today.
