Carlton Marsh

It was cold dreary and damp this afternoon, the temperature just fell short of 10c. However, 2 Swifts flew through and 1 entered a nest hole on a nearby estate. Around 20 Swallows and 3 House Martins were hawking over the wader scrape and 14 Herring Gulls and 7 LBB Gulls were disturbed when a Sparrowhawk and a Buzzard flushed them.
Elsewhere 7 Reed Warblers, 3 Sedge Warblers, 9 Blackcaps and a Cuckoo were singing.

3 Foxes were on the prowl around the wader scrape at the same time!
