Wintersett + another 1st for the area! 20.05.19

9 - 17 degrees with sun  and 0/8 cloud, increasing towards midday, with a light north westerly.
Wintersett Res: The Great Reed Warbler still singing in the boathouse reeds.  A Treecreeper with fledged young was on the south bank. Goldeneye 1 female.
Anglers CP: Little Ringed Plover 1.  Oystercatcher young 2.  Sand Martin 1.  Common Tern 6.
Lepidoptera: Small Heath 1 on west bank.  A Dingy Skipper was on the east bank.
Odonata:  1st record for Wintersett - A male Hairy Dragonfly  was in the north east corner.
Reptile: A Red-eared Terrapin and 2 Yellow-bellied Sliders were basking in the north east corner WRes..
A late sighting of an Osprey, by Vince Parslow yesterday, has been added to the blog post 19.05.19.
