Carlton Marsh

A walk round this afternoon with Paul and Ruth Thorpe produced Buzzard, Cormorant, 2 Kingfishers, Little Grebe and c20 BH Gulls with 2 juvs. 5 Chiffchaffs, Garden Warbler and Lesser whitethroat were all singing and 2 Coal Tits were calling.

Butterflies included 2 Painted Ladies (one found by Ruth), 2 Large Skippers and this year's first Ringlet.

Dragonflies included a male Emperor, 2 Large Red Damsels and male and female Broad-bodied Chaser.
Cinnabar and Yellow Shell moths were disturbed from the grass.

Ruth, the yellow flower I had trouble remembering was Common Melilot.
