The Edge 05/09/2019

Wombwell Ings - Present were 8 Mute Swan, 75 Teal, 37 Shoveler, 25 Gadwall, 11 Mallard, 4 Wigeon, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Cormorant, 2 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 1 Coot, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel, 85 Lapwing, 1 Knot, 1 Ringed Plover, 21 BH Gull and 4 Linnet.
The Fleet - Viewable were 2 Mute Swan, 291 Canada Geese, 6 Mallard, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Cormorant, 1 Kestrel,  1 Ringed Plover, 3 LBB Gull, 1 Kingfisher, 20+ House Martin, 1 Pied Wagtail and 2 Linnet.
Broomhill Flash - Noted were 4+3juv Mute Swan, 98 Canada Geese, 11 Greylag, 20+ Tufted Duck, 19 Gadwall, 17 Mallard, 2 Teal, 1 Shoveler, 1 Pochard, 25 Little Grebe, 3 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Cormorant, 176 Coot, 2 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 21 Lapwing and 1 Pied Wagtail.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 4+2juv Mute Swan, 1 Canada Goose, 4 Mallard, 3 Tufted Duck, 2 Gadwall, 6 Little Grebe, 4+1juv Great Crested Grebe, 6 Cormorant, 2 Grey Heron and 203 Coot. Also present were 1 Marsh Harrier, 2 Buzzard, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrel, 1 Snipe and 1 Grey Wagtail.
TPT -Almost back to car at Old Moor Rspb when, at 13.14pm, an Osprey flew overhead from the Field Pool and headed towards Manvers Lake.
