Wintersett Res:
Goldeneye 6 females. Common Tern 5. Tufted Duck 1 female + 1 small young.
59 birds were ringed at Wintersett this morning.
Highlights were:- 6 Willow Warbler, 5 Chiffchaff, 9 Reed Warbler, 5 Sedge Warbler, 12 Whitethroat, 8 Blackcap, 8 Garden Warbler and 1 Reed Bunting.
Insects - Wintersett Res. west bank
Lunar Hornet Moth 1. Rutpela Maculata beetles, 2 on hogweed flowers.
14-spot Ladybird 1.
Lepidoptera:
A
Fritillary sp. flew along the south bank Anglers CP. this morning, and
another probable whizzed through the car park at 12.25hrs.
Odonata:
A female Southern Hawker was off the south bank, Wintersett Res..
Mammal:
A mole (deceased) was on the east bank.
