Carlton Marsh

Today's sightings included 2 Redshank, Grey Wagtail, Grey Partridge, 2 Water Rail, Cetti's Warbler, a pair of Dabchick and 2 LBB Gulls south.

2 Orange Underwing Moths were seen around the tops of Silver Birch before the sun went in.

A small clump of Kingcup was re-introduced last autumn after it died out about 30 years ago

Storrs Mill to Ardsley Viaduct (18/3/22)
Kingfisher, Grey Wagtail, Green Woodpecker, 2 Buzzards.
Butterflies included 1 Small White, 12 Peacock, 24 Small Tortoiseshell, 10 Comma, 6m Brimstone and 20 Harlequin Ladybirds (C. Parkin)

Dearne Valley Park (21/3/22)
Treecreeper, 6 Greylag Geese, 4 Mute Swan
2 Peacock, 24 Small Tortoiseshell, 17 Comma and 2 Dark-edged Bee fly (C. Parkin)
