Most of the surface area of water is frozen over, but the Whooper Swan, a few Coot and a pair of Shovelers have kept small areas free of ice.
Passerines included 3 Fieldfares, 1 Goldcrest, 6 Yellow Buntings, 15 Meadow Pipits, 1 Linnet and Great and Green Woodpeckers. Raptors included Kestrel, Buzzard and 2 Sparrowhawks (Les & Andrew Corrall).
