Wintersett 05.09.14 Vis Mig 0 - Gull Roost 1

17°C,  warm with  3/8 cloud and a light easterly.
Anglers CP Vis Mig: As dire as yesterday, with just 64 birds in a watch totalling 6 hours!
Meadow Pipit 28 SW,  Swallow 30 S,  Snipe 1 SW + 2 N, Yellow Wagtail 1 S at 08.41hrs.   flava Wagtail sp. 1 S,  alba Wagtail sp. 1S
Anglers CP: Common Sandpiper 1 and the usual adult Yellow-legged Gull.
Disposal Point:  Grey Partridge 4,  Willow Tit 1 + 1 Botany.
Cold Hiendley Res:  Gadwall 19 + 2 WRes. and Wigeon 3. 
Wintersett Res: Cetti's Warbler 1 male,  Water Rail 1,  Teal 3,  Goldeneye 1 female,  Whitethroat 1 and Nuthatch 1 A total of 76 birds were ringed this morning, including: 18 Blackcap,  12 Chiffchaff,  2 Willow Warblers,  3 Sedge Warblers 4 Reed Warblers,  1 Lesser Whitethroat,  Swallow 10 and Pied Wagtail 1.

Adult Caspian Gull  18.55hrs and 2nd Winter Caspian 19.05hrs then flushed to Anglers CP 19.15hrs.  2nd W seen again on WRes at 19.45hrs.  Counts of other gulls not done as they all ended up on ACP, as they often do in flat calm weather.    20 Shelduck went SW over WRes at 20.00hrs.
