The roost was split again tonight and the easterly breeze made checking the Top Res roost a little difficult. Therefore, little chance to pick out any Caspians but there has been an increase in Yellow-legged Gulls. The totals were:-
Lesser Black-backed Gull - 579 on Top Res plus 550 on the Country Park
Yellow-legged Gull - 5 adults & a first winter on the Top Res with at least 15 adults on the Country Park.
Common Gull - adult and first summer on Top Res.
An adult Hobby was hunting dragonflies over the northwest corner of the Top Res at 19.50 hrs, landing in the Willow Wood to eat its catch.
