Wrong Place Wrong Time

Up to Winscar Reservor this morning; but no Rough-legged Buzzard (or Common Buzzard). Then down to Broomhead Moor after a text from JH. Missed them here too. Here's the meagre list of what I did see.

Ingbirchworth Reservoir - 1 Pink-footed Goose, 126 Greylag Geese, 151 Canada Geese, 5 Wigeon, 59 Mallards, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 6 Moorhens, 2 Coots, c120 Black-headed Gulls, 4 Common Gulls, 4 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 7 Herring Gulls.
Royd Moor Reservoir - 7 Teal, 38 Mallards, 2 Tufted Ducks, 2 Little Grebes, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 5 Moorhens c80 Black-headed Gulls, 4 Common Gulls and 23 Redwings SW.
Broomhead Moor - 1 Kestrel.

Butterflies - 1 Red Admiral at Royd Moor.

The 2 on Broomhead Moor were seen NW of the shooting cabin Martin so you would have needed to be well along the path to the cabin to see them. 1 still present when I left at 4:30 although doubtless the other one won't have been far away.

Thanks Dave. It was quite late when I arrived and I had already walked 7-8 miles, so I didn't fancy the walk after the second bend. Old age is catching up - FAST.
