Cudworth Common, Wednesday am.

It's not been the most successful of breeding seasons for waders on the Common but neither is it the worst.
Lapwing; still 44 adults around, many starting to moult with at least three broods of chicks seen.
Ringed Plover; still two pairs with some display still happening.
Little Ringed Plover; one pair still.
Redshank; just a single fledged juvenile remains.
Gadwall; brood of seven chicks.
Grey Partridge; a pair but no sign of chicks and a Cuckoo is still singing
