12 - 25 degrees, hot and sunny with a light south easterly breeze.
Spent a lovely morning monitoring Bittern at RSPB Old Moor, with several flight views and a long flight view of the Little Bittern.
Moorhouse Lane Ponds: 5 CROSSBILL flew west over at 18.23 hrs per Paul Meredith. Could this be the start of an irruption?
Wintersett Res: The male Red-eyed Damselfly was on Persicaria in the north east corner.
Anglers CP Butterflies: Painted Lady 1, Brimstone 5 and Brown Argus 1.
