Carlton Marsh

It was a wonderful day to be out in the sunshine with a maximum temperature of 18.7c. Today's highlights were 3 Little Egrets, 4 Buzzards very high over the marsh -2 left west. A scarce bird here is the Collared Dove, one was in the car park plantation. Calling birds included Chiffchaff, Goldcrest and 4 Water Rails.

Butterflies included 4 Red Admirals, 2 Comma, 6 Speckled Wood, a white sp. and a Small Copper.
There were at least 5 Migrant Hawkers flying Common Darters.
